Infrastructure Expertise

Abrasive blasting and surface preparation.

Dalecoast provides mobile abrasive blasting and surface preparation for bridges, steelwork, and industrial assets in Perth and across Western Australia. Work is carried out with environmental containment enclosures and blast media selection—including garnet, copper slag, and glass bead—to manage dust and protect active site conditions. Our teams deliver defined cleanliness and anchor profiles alongside contaminant testing and quality assurance, including soluble salt testing and surface profile verification.

01 / SURFACE PREPARATION

SURFACE PREPARATION

Precision abrasive blasting to international ISO 8501-1 and SSPC standards. From light whip-blasting (Sa 1) to total white-metal finish (Sa 3), achieving exact anchor profiles for long-term protective adhesion.

Completed Project

Swan River Causeway Bridge — Abrasive Blast & Paint

Swan River, Western Australia

Dalecoast was engaged to deliver a major abrasive blasting and protective coating program across Bridges BR914 and BR932 on the Swan River Causeway, comprising approximately 22,000m² of structural steelwork. The project required mobilisation of barges and purpose-built encapsulation systems to provide safe access beneath the bridge and contain blasting and coating operations over the Swan River. Steelwork was progressively abrasive blasted and recoated with a protective coating system, with works carefully staged to maintain environmental controls, quality requirements and ongoing bridge operations throughout the project.
