ABRASIVE BLAST AND PROTECTIVE COATING

Protective coating works to structural stringers at Fremantle Ports Berths B & C included abrasive sweep blasting to achieve the specified surface condition, followed by application of a high-performance three-coat protective coating system. Works were completed under controlled conditions with strict adherence to the project specification, including environmental monitoring, surface preparation standards, coating intervals and QA/QC inspections to ensure long-term corrosion protection in the aggressive marine environment.

SWAN RIVER Causeway bridge abrasive blast & paint

Dalecoast was engaged to deliver a major abrasive blasting and protective coating program across Bridges BR914 and BR932 on the Swan River Causeway, comprising approximately 22,000m² of structural steelwork. The project required mobilisation of barges and purpose-built encapsulation systems to provide safe access beneath the bridge and contain blasting and coating operations over the Swan River. Steelwork was progressively abrasive blasted and recoated with a protective coating system, with works carefully staged to maintain environmental controls, quality requirements and ongoing bridge operations throughout the project.

Operating under rigorous safety and quality management frameworks, Dalecoast restored structural integrity while maintaining full operational continuity for surrounding maritime vessel pathways and key arterial road transport.
